Rachel’s Strawberries and Cream Yoghurt

There is something very British about enjoying strawberries and cream at this time of year. Rain or no rain, Wimbledon is on, and it’s the season for strawberries.

Rachel's Organic Strawberries and Cream Yoghurt

Rachel’s Organic Yoghurt, which I have written about before, are currently selling their new Limited Edition Strawberries and Cream yoghurt to help us celebrate Wimbledon and all things British this summer.

It’s a classic combination in an indulgent yoghurt – very creamy and loads of big chunks of strawberries. I definitely approve!

Rachel’s suggest that you try it on top of scones or with meringue to create an almost Eton Mess, but I say this is best eaten by the spoonful whilst sat relaxing on the sofa with something good on the telly. For me yoghurt is a great alternative to other puddings as you feel like you’re being a bit better than eating a chunk of cake or a bowl of ice cream. The really lovely summer’s afternoon flavour helps too.

I did freeze some to see what would happen (I like frozen yoghurt!). Well it went rock hard like a block of ice but it tasted brilliant. I reckon it would work as home made ice lollies – kind of like mini milks. Worth a go another time I think.

Rachel's Organic Yoghurt

Rachel’s Organic Yoghurt is available in loads of lovely flavours. I haven’t found one I don’t like yet. Keep some of the natural stuff in your fridge at all times to use instead of cream… and if you haven’t tried the new Strawberry and Rhubarb flavour then you must, it’s really good, a nice combination of flavours. I still think my favourite in their range is the Vanilla, closely followed by the Rhubarb one.

Disclaimer: I was sent a selection of Rachel’s Organic Yoghurt so I could taste it and tell you about their new Limited Edition Strawberries and Cream flavour. I have not been told what to write and I have been no less honest as a result.
