Introducing Air Step Boots – A New Favourite

I came across a new-to-me brand of shoes this evening over on the Spartoo website – Air Step caught my attention thanks to its range of slightly unusual looking biker-style boots

Air Step Sole

I’m very good at sticking with what I know when it comes to my feet, but I can’t take my eyes off the different models Air Step have designed. I absolutely love the slouchy looking turned leather featured on many of the styles; they refer to it as “treated and tumbled” – it’s casual, and looks really comfortable, almost vintage-like. The use of coloured leather makes for shoes and boots really interesting to look at that are perfect for wearing with jeans or leggings. Oh, and I really like the contrasting textures – polished leather versus worn leather.

In the sole there is technology at work to make these good for wearing all day. There are layers designed to deaden the impact of the foot with the ground (I expect this is a bit like Dr Martens Air Wair, perhaps) and helps with the natural foot-bend, and a washable and replaceable arch support that helps to keep the foot at the right temperature.

Air Step Turandot Blue

I know we’ve not really had any kind of summer to speak of yet (and I’m still hoping for a flip flop summer!), but I’ve just ordered a pair of these Saint Bike in grey (below) ready for Autumn (I also really really want the Turandot’s directly above and the Saint Metal Belt in black and purple near the top, but I couldn’t warrant more than one pair!). Any more horrid rainy days like today and they’ll be getting plenty of outings well before Autumn officially arrives.

I’ll let you know if they are as good looking in real life and as comfortable as I am hoping!

Disclaimer: I have a partnership with Spartoo which involves me writing posts about shoes available from their online store. I have not been told what to write about and I have been no less honest as a result.
