A few weeks ago I was approached by 123Print.co.uk to see if I would like to test out their new website by ordering a couple of branded products for Splodz Blogz. I know it sounds very sad, but having things with my blog printed on them makes me smile and think “ooo that’s mine”!!
I decided to order the Pointer Pen and the Wraparound Mug – each would be branded as I wanted.
It was really easy; I clicked on my choice of pen, chose the colour (green!!), and add what text I’d like on each available line. Seriously simple! Completing the order was easy too – the site showed me a preview which I checked and confirmed. My personalised pens arrived within a couple of days. Do you like them?
I absolutely love them – they are metal, lovely to write with, and really look the part. It makes me smile to have my own blog name on a pen; I wish I could afford to order 1000s of them to giveaway to everyone I know as well as to random strangers – I love the idea of people having the Splodz Blogz URL right there in front of them all the time. To be honest Splodz Blogz doesn’t really warrant promotional giveaways but it would be nice!
I’d chosen a mug with a photograph on it – I sent one across to 123-Print by email, but you can now order wraparound mugs in the same way as the pens which means you get an immediate proof and know exactly what your design will look like when you place the order. If I did another one I’d choose a much brighter photograph as this one has turned out a bit muddy looking where the sand is wet, but I can sip my tea imagining the sand in my toes.
If I had an office where people came to visit me to discuss blog posts or projects (but with this being a hobby blog that ain’t never gonna happen…!) then I would definitely have a load of branded mugs too; I think it is a nice touch for any business or organisation and sets a very good impression.
