[ so·lil·o·quy – the act of speaking one’s thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers ]
Today I just want to share with you this quotation I came across this week.
Beware of destination addiction – a preoccupation with the idea that happiness is the in the next place, the next job, and with the next partner.
Until you give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are.
I tried to find the original source of the quote but had no luck. It’s very well quoted and often has different people cited as the original speaker of the words. So I apologise for not being able to link back to that person. It’s a pretty awesome statement though, sums up my mantra perfectly.
Life is all about the journey. Make the most of every step.

So true. And we lose sight of it all the time, chasing after goals and forgetting them once we achieve them.

You are definitely right, it is important to make the most of the steps but also make sure we look back and remember where we came from.
