Lyke Wake Walk Take Two

After postponing our attempt at the Lyke Wake Walk earlier in the summer, Jenni and I – and now also Allysse who has joined the team – are on our way up to the North Yorkshire Moors to give this thing another go.

Lyke Wake Walk - Route Planning Maps and Guide

This weekend we will tackle that 40 mile linear route from Osmotherly to Ravenscar and win

The main difference this time (other than the weather, we hope!) is that, in the interests of enjoyment, we have decided to split the walk across the weekend rather than going for the 24 hour challenge. This is mainly due to shorter daylight hours and lower night time temperatures, but also because we simply want to make the most of the route and have a great time walking it. We’ve booked a lovely looking bed and breakfast close to the half way point, and are planning a pub meal too – good food is always an ideal reward after a day on your feet.

I am looking forward to a girly outdoors weekend, lots of nice food, lots of chatter, and lots of great views. I am most looking forward coming back on Sunday night and being able to tell you all we’ve done this thing.

Wish us luck (and strong legs!).

Good for you! And I applaud the choice to walk at a more relaxed pace. It’s important to have fun when we’re having fun. 🙂

Thanks Ally 🙂 Slowing it down a bit was definitely the right choice, I’m glad we made that decision.

Oooh, I like Rosedale! I went there for the Rosedale show one summer and it was amazing- I saw some reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally unusual sheep!!! Sheep at the Rosedale show if you are at all interested- I won’t be offended if so!
Your notebook idea is good- you should develop a range- I like notebooks too!!x

Rosedale was indeed beautiful, I will be back. I shall check out your link, thanks for sharing.
Ha ha I don’t think I’m “popular” enough to warrant a product range, but would really love to design my own notebooks and that kind of thing. Would be so much fun to do!
      Thanks 🙂
