Remember the photos of the swans I snapped one lunchtime at work a few weeks back? I used one as my Year in Photos picture on 7th January and they currently feature at the top of my blog… well they’ve been published!
As usual with my photos I uploaded them to facebook and the Editor of Lincolnshire Life Magazine, Josie Thurston, with whom I used to work, contacted me to ask me to send the originals to be considered for the front cover!
Wow!!
Unfortunately, because the photos were only snaps on the point and shoot camera and I wasn’t taking them with print in mind, they were just not large enough to use on the front. However one has been published on page 12 of the February issue of Lincolnshire Life anyhow, and I’m very pleased about that.
Apparently I’ve got a Waterstones voucher on the way from the magazine because they used my photo – and my friends tell me that means I can tick off “Sell a Photograph” from my list of Things to Do.
