My iPhone4 is Gorgeous!

Yay I have an iPhone4 – woo and indeed hoo!!

I’m sure there will be reviews and posts to come in the near future, but I just wanted to share with you my initial thoughts today.

I got my 32GB black iPhone4 yesterday from the O2 store in Lincoln.  The store was rammed when I got there at about 3.30pm and the poor staff were completely rushed and had been for most of the day.  But they were being very quick at serving customers and I didn’t have to wait long until it was me being served.  Unfortunately, because it was so busy, there was no time to sit and go through everything slowly like they did when I bought my iPhone 3G back in January 2009, but Matthew (the guy who served me) was very efficient and quick at getting me out of the door with an iPhone4 in my hands.

And it’s gorgeous!  It feels nice in my hands, it is a bit heavier than the 3G but feels more sturdy rather than weighty.  The screen is just amazing, so clear and text is perfectly crisp.  The folders idea (I didn’t put IOS4 on my 3G following reviews of failing battery life and slow units) is great and has cleaned up my apps brilliantly. 

The camera is much better, especially because there is much less shutter lag when taking shots and I can choose where the auto focus point is!  I’m looking forward to trying out the flash, but the sun is shining brightly today so there’s no need.

I am yet to try so many things on it – I haven’t recorded any video, played games other than Words with Friends, or watched YouTube or TV – but I can’t wait.  I have tried the voice control but so far haven’t been able to make it do what I want – any suggestions?  Oh, and of course I haven’t tried FaceTime yet – who else has an iPhone4?!
