Last night, when we got home from being involved in concert, we found that the bunnies (who we’d brought inside because of the fireworks) had escaped from the spare bedroom. When we walked up the stairs we found them both sat in the middle of the floor in the office. The office… the place with all the cables and electronic equipment… and yes, we had cable damage.
Luckily for the bunnies the cable they chose to destroy was attached to a transformer so it only had 9 volts going through it (it was live). The cable was completely destroyed. Oh, along with a roll of wrapping paper too.
My first thought was “oh my are you both alive/ok”… once I knew they were then it was ok to be annoyed at them!! Very naughty. Very lucky.
So today, knowing we had to bring the bunnies in again this evening while we were out (in case of fireworks again), my other half took to mending the door to ensure it clicked shut properly and wouldn’t open with a shove. And it worked… the door now shuts as it should and the bunnies were kept in the spare room with no problems.
I hope they enjoyed their little explore of the house on Saturday night!
