mypure Review – Rhassoul Pimple Stick

The final product I received from mypure in November to review was a spot treatment stick by Alva.

£6.50/5ml

The Alva Rhassoul Pimple Stick combats bacteria that cause spots and blemishes, and helps to dry the spots out without dehydrating the surrounding skin tissue. Compact, easy to apply and ideal for travelling.

Rhassoul Pimple Stick is also suitable for treating insect bites and stings as the tea tree oil and manuka oil help prevent itching and promote wound healing.

The liquid in this tiny little bottle is supposed to help me get rid of my spots – brilliant I thought!

I used it for a couple of days on various spots/blemishes and yes, it does help dry them up.  It’s easy to apply with the sponge applicator on the bottle, which also means the treatment only goes where I want it – thus helping the surrounding tissue to stay hydrated.

The only downside of Alva Rhassoul Pimple Stick is the HORRIBLE smell!!! Everything on the mypure website is certified natural, but this certainly doesn’t smell natural. It’s a combination of TCP and I don’t know what. I don’t like it!  And it’s really strong too – my other half asked what the smell was!  I certainly won’t be using it before going out anywhere… this for me will be a night-use treatment only!

So while this product does work by treating spots/blemishes it’s not something I’ll be keeping in my bathroom cabinet after this one is empty… sorry!
