It’s about time I did another fundraising challenge, and so this morning I signed up for the Walk the Walk MoonWalk in London.
My mantra is “it’s all about the journey” – and this challenge will mean the journey is key – a marathon walk through London overnight. This is all to raise money for Walk the Walk, a grant making charity raising money and awareness for vital breast cancer causes, but also that is passionate about encouraging a healthy lifestyle through walking.
I’ve set myself a little target of £250 and I’m sure you can help me reach that. You can sponsor me online by visiting my Walk the Walk Fundraising Page. Pretty please?! Hopefully I’ll go way past that target but I thought I should start somewhere.
Oh and if you see me being a lazy bum between now and May, remind me that I’m really supposed to be getting into shape again… I’ll use the Spires and Steeples marathon walk on 16th October as my benchmark to beat!
I won’t be walking alone – apart from being with my friend Bec, there will be 1000’s of other people taking part – all wearing their Walk the Walk bras (mine will be OVER my tshirt!). If you’re walking too please feel free to comment below or tweet me!
If you want to take part in the MoonWalk it is open for applications now – I’ve no idea how quickly the places fill up but it’s worth a go!
