It’s so cold out at the moment. Not surprising really, it’s winter (and this time last year it was even colder!). What we need is to snuggle in front of the fire with a mug of something warm…
This new Vimto Hot Mulled Berry Punch drink is a cordial designed to drink hot. It is based on the original Vimto recipe but with cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg added to give it a traditional Christmas flavour.
I am afraid to say that this version of Vimto didn’t do it for me. Unfortunately the nutmeg-cinnamon smell put me off to start with (not sure why, I like both), and while it tasted better than it smelt, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. I did try it – more than once – but both times failed to drink it all. Maybe I just had too much? I’m not sure if you’re supposed to drink it by the mug-full? My husband tried it too, he seemed to like it more than me, but said he found the flavour a bit odd and wouldn’t choose it over other drinks.
So personally I’ll be sticking to regular Vimto – which I love.
Have you tried the Mulled Berry Punch version? What do you think? Go on… tell me I’m wrong, I can take it!
