Denman Popper Compact Brush

If you haven’t got much room in your bag but really need to carry a brush around, then Denman have this compact brush that could just be the answer.

The Denman Popper Compact Brush is exactly what you expect – a little round compact-mirror sized brush – that does actually have a mirror inside too.  It’s the perfect size for your handbag (or even make-up bag).

The smooth, ball-tipped pins push out from the back to give you a decent sized brush head.  I wondered how good something like this would actually be at brushing my fine long hair (especially after cycling to work), but it seemed to do the job just fine and I’ve taken my larger D3 (review here) out of my bag and put this one in its place.  When I get an annoying tangle the pins did sometimes close back in on themselves, but that was rectified simply by keeping my finger on the back of the brush keeping the brush pins pressed out. I’m not sure how it will fair on a big mess of tangles or on thick hair, but as my handbag essential it works great.  As a teeny handbag compact I would recommend this.

Denman have even given it a pink swirl vibe so you could persuade your other half to buy you one for Valentine’s… but at just £2.56 from the Denman website (also available in Boots and Superdrug) it’s a total bargain so maybe just treat yourself!
