I’m Supporting… Next Paralympic Supporter’s Scarf

In this special Olympic year the whole country has gone memorabilia crazy. The shops are crammed full of official and not-so-official London 2012 inspired wares, from clothing to crockery and stationery to furniture.

But that’s no bad thing – I reckon it’s awesome that we have gone Olympics crazy this year – and I’m definitely in that category (although you’ll be pleased to know I haven’t filled my house with nick-nacks)!

This scarf has been designed by Next as part of their support for London 2012 and the reckon it’s the must have item of the summer… I received one as part of their “I’m Supporting” campaign. It is one of two scarves – one each for the Olympic and Paralympic games – mine is for the latter.

I think I was expecting something a bit bigger, but actually it is a neckerchief sized scarf at 50 x 50cm. This is perfect for wearing around your neck (must have a woggle somewhere!), on your head as a bandana, as a hair tie or in loads of other ways. For me though it’s just perfect to use around my neck when riding my motorcycle…

It’s really pretty isn’t it (the scarf, not me!)? I like the lion design, very GB! If you don’t want to wear it then it is the perfect size to wave in support of those running with the Olympic torch (HINT!) or the athletes in themselves in the summer.

The most important thing about this is that all profits from the sale of the scarves will be donated to the British Olympic Association – helping British Olympic and Paralympic athletes deliver their best performance at London 2012 and beyond.

They’re only £5 each so why not get one? If you do, make sure you take a photo of you wearing it and enter the competition on the Next website to win London 2012 tickets in their weekly giveaway. There is also a larger version for £10.

Disclaimer: I was sent the scarf by Next to talk about on Splodz Blogz, but as always I have been honest (and you know I like talking about the Olympics!).
