Special K Cracker Crisps

I rather like surprise blogger packages arriving at my front door when I’m off work – even more so when said packages are full of food!

I received some of the new Special K Cracker Crisps to try out. I recently tried the Biscuit Moments which went down very well with both me and my family, and so I had high hopes for these crisps. I admit freely that crisps are probably my biggest weakness – I adore them, all sorts of types and flavours (especially wotsits!) – and so if this crisp tasted good and had a good texture then I could be a big customer.

Special K Cracker Crisps are “a tasty new savoury snack that at 95 calories for a serving of 21 crisps, you can enjoy without the worry“. 95 calories for 21 crisps? That’s pretty good I reckon. Sub-100-calorie snacks are definitely the way forward (I’ve said that before – I can’t possibly give up snacking so I need to make better choices instead).

They are made from a combination of potato and wheat, which gives a small round crisp that seemed to hold its shape in the box (even though these had been sent through the post).

I put 21 of the crisps into a bowl so I knew exactly what a serving was supposed to be (I could so easily eat the whole 100g box designed for sharing – if I was buying these myself I’d go for the individual bags!) and it did seem like a good number, I didn’t feel let down on the quantity which so often happens with “healthy snacks”. And the quality was good too. They have a nice crunch, and hold really good flavour – the Sour Cream and Onion are the ones I’d choose again. They are very moorish.

Thanks Special K, another successful new snack here as far as I’m concerned, I like them. Let me know what you think when you’ve had a taste.

Disclaimer: I was sent some boxes of the new Special K Cracker Crisps for free. I have not been told what to write and have been no less honest as a result.
