Review: Cadbury’s Marvellous Creations Cola Pretzel Honeycomb

Is this the strangest Cadbury’s Marvellous Creations creation yet? It’s the one with Cola, Pretzel and Honeycomb. I bought some a little bit ago to share with LincsGeek.

Sharing a big bar of Marvellous Creations, with it’s wonky uneven shaped pieces, is actually very difficult. The bar doesn’t break neatly into even strips of chocolate to share. After breaking the bar up into not-very-equal lumps, we got stuck in.

The best thing about this bar is that it is smooth from the chocolate, crunchy from the pretzel and chewy form the honeycomb and cola pieces all at the same time. I love the way the different textures work together to give you a properly satisfying mouthful – I guess in much the same way as a fruit and nut bar does.

I also like the mix of flavours. The chocolate is mixed with sweet and savoury flavours – and I’m rather partial to a salty sweet snack. Despite this I have to say that the bar I bought was very pretzel-heavy, meaning the slightly salty crunch took over everything else. I would like liked more honeycomb to balance it – with more cola flavour as I felt you could smell the cola more than you could taste it.

Have you tried this one? What do you think?
