I mention Converse on here a lot. I love them. They are comfortable and I love the style. They go with everything and last for ages. But when a blogging friend from the States commented on my most recent post featuring Converse that he prefers Vans, it got me thinking.
I wear both. There is no denying I love Converse; I have several pairs and wear them loads. But I also love the black Vans I bought the last time we went to Florida and find them incredibly comfortable to the point that they are pretty well worn and could do with replacing. They are more chunky than Converse and have a sole that sticks to my bicycle pedals like glue (and a skateboard too, but I’m 33 and haven’t done that for a few years now… oh I need a skateboard, or a scooter, or both!).
I was actually thinking I should replace my Vans with a pair of black Converse, but maybe that’s wrong. Decisions, decisions. If I had a that skateboard it would be a no brainer!
Is there room in your wardrobe for both? Or are you drawn to one sand shoe over another?

You’re entitled to get whatever you want — and more than one brand, if you wish. Choose whatever you like.
I just bought my third pair of Vans and all three are currently in use. I like ’em for their fun colors (my new ones are red), great reputation (I want to be one of the cool kids) and good quality. I’m generally attracted to things outside the mainstream.
