National Experience Week

I am a bit late to the party on this one but when I found out this week was National Experience Week, I had to write a little blog post – anything to give me opportunity to encourage you to try new things and make the most of your journey through life!

Bungee Jumping – a traditional bucket list experience.

National Experience Week is the brainchild of IntotheBlue, who sell thousands of activity vouchers to people who want to try something new themselves or give that opportunity to someone else.  This week they are encouraging us to push the boundaries and live a little by giving us official permission to have fun and do something different. I definitely see lots of value in these one-off experience days – making the most of your days by trying new things and creating memories is what will make you smile at the end of each day.

It’s not about ticking things off a list, but about experiencing what life has to offer and creating some fabulous memories to last a lifetime.

If I had realised it was National Experience earlier than now I would have made sure I ticked something off my bucket list in commemoration; but instead I am using it as motivation to get the next couple of things planned and booked in – I’ve got a couple of experience vouchers to make use of, both Christmas presents from family, to get organised.

Flyboarding at Tattershall Lakes – one of the most fun experiences I have ever had!

There’s a competition running alongside National Experience Week – and don’t worry, it’s open for another few days yet so you’ve still got time to enter (closes on 23 April 2015). If you’re anything like me and have a long wish list of experiences, then you will quite like winning £1,000 of experience vouchers to enjoy over the next year. All you have to do is create your wishlist over on the IntotheBlue. Simple. I’ve done mine and to be honest I’d like it if no-one else entered so I could definitely win, but that just wouldn’t be fair, would it?!

Tank Driving – it’s serious stuff, you know!

You can find out more about National Experience week, and the competition, over on the IntotheBlue National Experience Week website. And if you need some ideas of what to put on your wish list, head over to my Bucket List for lots (and lots) of ideas.

(PS… If by some terrible accident I don’t win, and you do, you could always take me with you on one of your prizes – just saying!!)
