The Sea is Still There | Weekly Vlog 10

Hello friends! It’s time for weekly vlog episode ten – wow ten episodes of this thing already – the most important element of which is me heading to Skegness to check the sea is still there. It’s very important to check when you can, I would do so every day if I was able.

My day out at the seaside was an opportunity to explore Gibraltar Point, a nature reserve managed by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust just down the coast from Skegness in Lincolnshire. It’s a really beautiful freshwater marsh and salt marsh by the sea, and because it has facilities including toilets and a cafe it’s a very popular one. They’re building a huge new visitor’s centre which is great to see, and a number of the paths through the reserve are completely accessible, making it a good place for the whole family to visit. I went on my own, though, and thanks to the weather I didn’t see anyone else while I was there. I also had a walk along Skegness Beach (no whales I’m afraid) on the same day.

Apart from my get outdoors day off work there is a lot of chatting in this vlog – about winter duvets, giving up milk and other dairy products, getting organised with lists, a vlogging promise to my God daughter, and other random stuff. Food always features well, and this week I made Mexican rice and beans in my slow cooker, a Thai green curry, meatballs and courgetti (zoodles), and ate a few portions of chips.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t done so already, click the red subscribe button over on Splodz Blogz TV and give the video a thumbs up. Here you go:
