It’s no secret that I don’t really like fireworks. They’re very pretty, definitely, but they’re noisy and dangerous and I don’t understand how people want to set them off in their back gardens.
It’s also a problem for pet owners. I don’t know of anyone who finds their pet’s are happy with fireworks… it can be quite worrying. My two bunnies come inside for the few evenings around bonfire night – rabbits can have heart attacks brought on by loud bangs, so leaving them outside would just be cruel. [Apart from the wire chewing incident… see the previous blog post] it’s nice having the rabbits in to play.
