This evening we went to Xscape at Castleford for some more skiing practice. I had a recreational ski pass – my first since learning to ski – and I was very (very very) nervous about being left to my own devices on the slope. I’ve had two three-hour lessons so far… I just hoped I could remember what I was doing! This was all while my husband had a one-hour lesson as he struggled with the last bit in his last lesson.
But we both did really well yay! My husband was the only person booked on his lesson so he had an hour of 1-to-1 tuition and it really clicked for himm which is brilliant. And after a couple of nervous runs down the slope from the middle (coz I was too chicken to start by going to the top!) I was getting quite confident by the end. Now I’m not a great skier by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m now really looking forward to Andorra in February with more confidence than before!
