Review: Propercorn Pop Corn

I found a new popcorn and I just had to tell you about it. This is “Proper Corn” – according to the packet it is popcorn done properly. I spotted it in Boots a couple of weeks back when I went in for a meal deal, and I’m so glad I did – this is my new favourite lunch time accompaniment. Gorgeous.

Sweet and Salty Proper Corn

There are four different flavours but the one I bought (and have been buying regularly ever since) is the Sweet and Salty one. It is just that – a little bit sweet (but not sickly) and a little bit salty, just the right combination to make an ideal afternoon snack.

Popcorn is a healthy snack, much better for you than crisps or sweets. I often pop my own corn at home and sprinkle it with a little granulated sweetener, it’s very easy, but it does make the kitchen smell of oil for several hours. Propercorn is easily as good as the stuff I make myself, and I might even prefer this Sweet and Salty flavour to crisps with my meal deal. Yes, I like it that much.

A bag of Propercorn costs 80p in both Boots and Tesco Express. You should definitely try some. And give them a follow on twitter too.
