`This weekend has definitely been one to remember. On Saturday I played my trombone in SASWE (Salvation Army Symphonica Wind Ensemble) at Upper Norwood, and so took the opportunity to have a weekend away with my sister, staying in a Premier Inn at Thurrock.
We travelled down on Friday after work (my sister is a teacher so making a day of it was impossible) before going to a friend’s house for dinner. My Year in Photos pic for Friday is this shot of Ross waiting for his dinner…

On Saturday we started the day with a lay-in followed by a cooked breakfast at Ikea – yum! The journey to Upper Norwood was a bit stressful – it was London after all – but was ok. The programme felt like the toughest one ever and my lip felt like it was bleeding at the end, but it was a really good day and I do really love playing…

After a good but tiring day on Saturday my sister and I decided Sunday would be all about shopping and eating before we made the journey home. So we went to Lakeside where we met up with some friends for breakfast before having a browse, and then had a meal at Old Orleans on the Boardwalk.
This pic might seem strange considering I took loads and loads but it is the one place at Lakeside that really brings back childhood memories for me – the Disney Store!
And that’s February done! Bring on March 🙂
