Time for another Aveeno product review. Actually this post includes reviews for two very similar products – Daily Moisturising Lotion and Lavendar Aroma Daily Moisturising Lotion.
As these two products are the same with the exception of the scent, both my sister (who has been taking part in the Aveeno testing too) and I have been using both of these moisturising lotions at the same time – to compare them.
The “standard” product is fragrance free, while the other as a lavender aroma. Both my sister and I decided before even starting that we would prefer the fragrance free version – but for different reasions. I can be a bit sensitive to perfume so always tend to go for fragrance free products out of habit (although that sensitivity seems to be disappearing now, which is excellent), while my sister likes to wear her own choice of perfume and so uses fragrance free products so as not to clash!
Both products are good. You need a very small amount and so the 200ml tube would last for months proving cost effective (£4.99 for this size). We both ageed it rubbed in easily. My sister commented that it works just as well as the Simple moisturiser that she usually uses and is even less runny which is better – Aveeno may have even gained a customer there as she has said she is likely to go and buy this one again when it runs out.
As for the lavender one it is a nice smell but for me it’s too strong and makes my hands smell of sugar – think parma violet sweets. But it is subtle and my sister assured me it’s not too strong to wear with purfume if you are going out. Out of the two, though, I much prefer the fragrance free option.
There is one final product text to come for Aveeno – the Shea Butter Moisturiser. We will let you know what we think!
