It is no secret that I love popcorn… but I admit I never knew it was a healthy snack. Ok so if you get the toffee popcorn or cover it in sugar or butter and salt it’s not, but freshly popped corn with a spinkling of sweetener makes an ideal “need something sweet” craving buster.
There has been much talk about this recently on twitter. A couple of my friends now have popcorn makers and say how much they enjoy having homemade popcorn. Then another friend, Rob Griggs-Taylor, tweeted me some instructions in real time while he made a batch:
He even took a video of the popping here: http://www.twitvid.com/6GX72
So I tried it today, in my normal stainless steel pan with opaque lid, following the above instructions and look…
I admit that all the popcorn I made has now gone… but it’s ok coz it’s practially good for me and I’ve got more corn to make another batch tomorrow!!
I would definitely recommend it.
