Flicking through my April issue of Glamour magazine at the weekend I saw something that really made me smile. The fact that it made me smile makes me a massive geek. Dr Martens had a little QR code in the bottom left of their advertisement.
It’s the first QR code I’ve noticed in a magazine advertisement and I obviously wanted to know what it would take me to. So I quickly used Red Laser on my iPhone and it took me here:
Well it worked, because I love the shoes and I neeeeeeeed them! Although maybe baby pink isn’t my colour… so I ended up spending a bit of time on the website. I love my DMs and currently have a couple of pairs – a purple satin-finish 8-eye pair, and some black 10-eye stee toes. But right now, thanks to this advert and it appealing to my geeky nature, I really want a new pair. Ok so I almost certainly can’t pull off all of those Docs… and I’m not sure if I actually like the Pascals but they definitely are striking. The ones I need most in my life right now? The Triumph 1914 – pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeee????!
