I was recently sent a couple of candles from Candles Crafts Gifts to review…
The candles on this website are hand made in Norfolk using soy wax (GM free). This is different to the normal candle production you might know about – it is environmentally friendly as it comes from a sustainable source, it burns longer than parafin wax and burns with 90% less soot. The site has a range of candles made in this way, including scented candles, church candles and shaped candles.
This lovely little blue scented soy wax tea light was scented with Bergamot. Very subtle notes but definitely there, and it looked lovely in my candle holder.
It lasted several hours, longer than a standard tea light I’d say, it was perfect have burning during an evening of relaxing.
This amazing pink coloured candle in a tin is another hand-made soy wax creation. Just looking at it I can say it makes a great gift for anyone who likes candles (hint!). The fragrance of “Angel Wings” is nice and fresh and while it is subtle when you enter a room in which it is being burnt you can really tell it’s there. I’m not really sure what Angel Wings is exactly, but it’s nice and I’d get it again!
Candles aside there are many other things to look at on the Candles Crafts Gifts website – their tag line is “if you are looking for unusual, unique candles and gifts you’ve found the right place!”… it’s well worth a browse if you’ve got a gift to buy for someone special (or yourself!).
