Putting sweet treats by the counter in shops is so very dangerous. And when the display says NEW all over it I just cannot resist. Recently my local Spar has had new Galaxy Bites sat there by the till… and it wasn’t long until I gave into temptation and bought a packet.
Galaxy Bites are small spheres of Galaxy chocolate filled with caramel that come in a little 40g bag costing 57p where I got mine. Each one is smaller than the size of a malteser, I got about 14 in my little bag. Oh and each bag is 197 calories so quite a big chunk of your daily allowance… but oh well chocolate is never gonna be good for us really is it?
Taste wise they are very good – Galaxy Caramel in a bite sized round. Texture wise I would have liked them to be firmer, perhaps chewy caramel, but then the caramel Galaxy normally use is quite soft/runny so I can see how it has come about.
My question though, is do we really need another choice when it comes to chocolate? Nah… while these are good, they don’t beat their parent chocolate bar the Galaxy Caramel, which I would pick over these in a flash.
