It was a bit grey today so we headed to Plymouth, where we had a really good day exploring the city on foot and by boat, and went to the cinema. I lived in Plymouth (well, Devonport actually) for four years when I was at Primary School and so going there brought back lots of happy memories. I loved going back and having a wander around. Much has changed in 18 years of course but many things remain the same – the Torpoint Ferry (just down from my old house/school), the sundial in the middle of the city (we would meet mum and dad at number six if we got lost), and of course the Hoe and Smeaton’s Tower. Actually the lighthouse was a bit yellow, I think they should re-paint it!
