Capture the Colour

posted in: Competition, Photography | 3

I often say that I think in colour. It’s one of the ways I try and describe the way that I see things. I think it’s why I like taking photos – taking snaps of things I see helps me remember where I have been, what I’ve done and how I felt at the time.

Travelsupermarket.com are running a Capture the Colour competition to challenge bloggers in their photography. Thank you to Cheryl over at Madhouse Family Reviews for tagging me in her entry and bringing it to my attention – there are some great prizes to be won. I’ve been and had a look around at some of the other entries and, well, I have no chance whatsoever of winning this thing by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like a challenge and wanted to see what I could find in my photography collection that would fit. So consider this my (rather weak) entry.

Blue

Capture the Colour - Blue - Inch Beach

I think blue and I think sea and sky. This shot was taken at Inch Beach in Ireland when we went over last year for a trip on the bikes.

Green

Capture the Colour - Green - Sleeping Bunnies

I couldn’t have a photo post without featuring the bunnies could I?

Yellow

Capture the Colour - Yello - Rape Seed from Waddington

Living in Lincolnshire surrounded by fields everything turns yellow in the spring time… oh how I hate rape seed! This was taken from the Viking Way near Lincoln.

White

Capture the Colour - White - Snow in Arinsal, Andorra

Had to be a snow scene. The second time we went to Arinsal in Andorra we hardly had any snowfall during our stay at all – until the last day, which was a total white out. Loads of powder.

Red

Capture the Colour - Red - Sunset Above the Clouds

There is something about a sunset when you’re actually above the clouds. This one on the way to Helsinki was just glorious.

As part of the competition I am supposed to tag five other bloggers to challenge them to take part – so here you go, consider yourself challenged! I look forward to seeing your entries.
