Next Seven Days of Shoes

posted in: Competition, Fashion | 0

You all know how much I love a nice shoe. Well this is my entry into a blog competition to win seven new pairs from Next thanks to The Hi Fashion Site – it would be rude not to try!

The competition asks me to choose seven pairs of Next shoes and show you how I’d wear them. I decided to go for a selection of “traditional” and “must have” items as well as some slightly different ones. Oh I enjoyed choosing my seven!

Black Chunky Biker Boots

My knee high black boots are a total staple, but they are looking very worn now – I’m wearing them right now and so was reminded that I really need to replace them. These black biker style boots have a chunky sole and heel and would work well with a thick knitted dress and leggings. Perfect for wintery days at work or out and about.

Black Quilted Platform Court Shoes

I’ve mentioned before that I love the patent look at the moment. These black quilted court shoes have a touch of the red carpet about them and would work so well with a little black dress. I’ve never been invited to a film premier or red carpet party, but if I was then I’d consider these! They have a completely classic shape, and the height would definitely help my short wide legs look the part…!

Berry Low Western Ankle Boots

Ok, enough black for now, we all need colour in our lives, so my next choice are these berry coloured ankle boots. In my head I would team these with some wet look leggings and this fantastic long top, but in reality it would be normal leggings as I think I’d look ridiculous in the wet look trend! Whichever I picked I reckon these little purply boots would make me smile when I looked down at my feet.

Tan Chelsea Western Ankle Boots

I love these tan coloured western style ankle boots. They’re the sort of boots you can wear poking out underneath jeans or over the top – or here I’ve chosen to go with a relaxed boyfriend style jean with a tapered leg so I could turn up the legs a couple of times to make sure you could see the whole boot properly. On the top I’d go for a tshirt and cardigan combo.

Glitter Point Court Shoes

If I’m going out for a relaxed dinner with my other half or my friends I don’t generally want to go all out with my outfit, but I do like to wear some nice heels. I have teamed these pewter sparkly court shoes with some (what I think are) cool dark green jeans and a nice cream top.

Navy Borg Hi Tops

Saturdays are for relaxing, and everyone needs some comfy pumps to wander around in. These blue high tops would work perfectly with some skinny jeans, nice socks and comfy jumper. Oh and these are lined too – cosy! (PS I love this jumper – neeeeed!)

Chocolate Sporty Fur Snow Boots

As winter draws in (yes, I put my heating on this week – feels like I only turned it off six weeks ago) we need something warm and grippy for our feet. Next have a selection of snow boots, and I like these chocolate ones. I’d wear them with dark jeans, a long sleeved t-shirt and a nice brightly coloured body warmer for the outdoors look.

As you can probably tell, I’m no fashion expert (by any stretch of the imagination!), but I still thought I’d give this little blog challenge a go. Feel free to let me know what you think to my outfits.

PS I still don’t know if I’d ever be able to rock wet look leggings – maybe I should have chosen something else to go with those berry boots and that top. Hmmm.
