Black court shoes are an absolute wardrobe staple for women. This type of high heeled pump is totally versatile – a pair can be worn with pretty much any dress, any pair of trousers; for work, for a meal out, for a cocktail party, a concert, for a film première The traditional shape with narrow toe and skinny heel elongates your legs, give you a feminine stride, and suit anyone.
I would absolutely love to own a pair of traditional red soled Louboutins. Please?! The Pigalle or the Simple Pump, I reckon. But as I don’t have £000s to spend on a pair of shoes (sadly!), I need to find a suitable alternative. I had a browse of the court shoes section on the Spartoo website to see what I could find…
The very traditional shape of the KMB courts above is exactly what I mean. The little platform gives additional height and takes some stress from the balls of your feet, and the matt black leather will definitely go with anything. I think I prefer the Bronx version below though – I like the thicker platform, and I know Bronx shoes fit me well. Both these pairs have an 11cm heel height.
The Jonak Soda courts are a little lower (9.5cm) but I like the shape and the textured leather makes them slightly different.
I wanted to avoid patent in this post because I was thinking much more traditional, but when I saw this Versus by Vesace pair I simply couldn’t. Wow. These are sexy! There is no way I could walk anywhere in them but they have such a nice shape and that bright pink is just fabulous (darling!). They’re not “good value” alternatives either (by any stretch of the imagination) but they are gorgeous.
