#BEDN 22 > Leaving on a Jet Plane – Travel Wish List

Today’s BEDN is all about travel. I’ve been a very lucky girl recently – we’ve done quite a bit (although not anything like some people I know – my friend Tara is in Vietnam at the moment). In the last just-over-a-year we’ve been to Florida, Finland and New York (and all over Great Britain too), and we have Finland and the Wild West of America booked for next year. It’s so nice to be able to tick some things off my travel wish list.

There are lots of other places I’d like to visit and explore, too. I have always wanted to go to the Maldives – we even priced it up and worked out when and where once up on a time. I really like the idea of going to one of the white sandy islands with clear seas for a relaxing break. Paradise. But I know there isn’t really much to do and I’d worry about getting bored! It’s a very very long way to go to do nothing!!

Australia and New Zealand have also been on the list for a very long time – we would want several weeks to do a decent job of those countries though so it might have to wait until we’ve retired! I have dreams of touring New Zealand in a camper van; it seems like the right way to explore that particular place.

We’ve never ventured into Asia – Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand all appear on my list. And there so much more of North America we want to see too, such as Alaska and Colorado, and Canada too – the snow covered bear lands as well as the cities.

There is also so much of Europe we’ve barely touched. I really want to go and see how the other half live in Monaco, and would love to return to Germany for a bit of a mooch about.

Money, holiday allowance and commitments mean that big trips can only happy once every one or two years, so let’s face it there is no way we’re going to tick everything off our list. But hey, it’s nice to dream!
