Life is all about the journey. The challenge is to make the most of each day, to spend time learning, experiencing and trying.
It’s for this reason that I have entered the Big Blog Exchange again this year, to hopefully open the door to one amazing adventure in November.
Hostelling International are once again giving 16 passionate bloggers the opportunity to swap blogs and countries with each other simultaneously for 10 days – and share their experience with the world. Bloggers will be provided with an itinerary full of experiences and activities to participate in during their stay. And I definitely want in!
My Motivation
Life, my life, is about the small things. I have never been very good at choosing one thing over another and so have ended up with way too many hobbies and interests for any of them to become big. It is about exploring the world around me, learning and developing as a person, trying to make a difference in little and big ways, being inspired and inspiring others, setting challenges and achieving goals, and taking opportunities I’m given to try new things.
The Big Blog Exchange would be an extraordinary thing to take part in. It would allow me to do something incredible, to immerse myself in another place and to do exactly what I want in life – to learn, to experience, to try. I once wrote that I was too old and sensible for adventure; but I know that I am happiest when doing unforgettable things, and when I remember what it was like doing them.
If I am chosen I would want to spend my 10 days visiting, exploring and experiencing. I’d want to see iconic scenes and go deep into the country, using all kinds of transportation both me-powered and motor-powered. I’d want to dip my toes in the water, see the views from up high, and take 1,000s of photographs. I’d want to meet the locals and make friends for life. I’d definitely want to tick a few things off my ever expanding bucket list – and maybe try things I haven’t even imagined yet. I’d want to come home changed, just a little bit.
It’s the stuff of dreams. It would be a real opportunity for a totally unforgettable experience that I would thoroughly enjoy sharing with the world through blogging. Life is all about the journey, and this would be a pretty awesome journey to go on.
