The Splodz Blogz Photo Challenge | Week 2

posted in: Photography, Year in Photos | 3

Good morning friends. How are you finding 2016 so far? I hope it’s going your way and you are enjoying it. I’m really pleased that lots of you like the idea of my weekly photo challenge and have been sharing your images on the first theme that I set last Thursday – “plan”. It’s been great to see how you’ve interpreted the subject – thanks so much for joining in.

I thought I’d pick out some images that stood out to me. Jason shared this shot over on twitter – he was doing my kind of planning with a map.

I adored this black and white shot from Claire – planners, notebooks, a blackboard, a calendar – so much planning going on in one little photo. I hope you got your lightbulb moment too!

And how nice is this really old compass? Apparently it came from an old Himalayan surveyor. Beautiful. And I’m very interested to see how this particular plan goes – looks fun!

My own offerings were both on the subject of food – hope you’re not too surprised!

On to this week… As will be the case every Thursday morning, it’s time to announce the new theme for my Splodz Blogz Photo Challenge.

Week 2 Theme: In the Background

Week 2 Hashtag: #SplodzWPC02

Here’s an idea… taken at Barlings Abbey on the Stephen Langton Trail last year. But I think this topic can be taken several ways, so have fun!

If you’re not sure what’s going on here then please head over to the first post in this series which should hopefully explain things. But basically, use that theme to take some snaps, share using the hashtag, and use this as an opportunity to chat with others who take part about their photos and other things. Simple.

So make of “in the background” what you will and don’t forget you have until 7am next Thursday morning to take and share your photos. Enjoy!
